FCA Financial Service Register

The Financial Conduct Authority has a register with very complex and in-depth information about people and businesses in the financial industry. The brief was to redesign the directory to be an efficient and clear journey to navigate through. As it need to be adaptable for both professionals as well as private people. This was an 18 month project, where I was part of it for the first 7 months. It was an agile, kanban project where I worked full-time as the only UI designer with a team of a Lead UX designer, Strategist, Senior Content Designer, Digital Project Manager and Front-end Developer plus off-shore Back-end developers. My role consisted of creating the ground work for the User Interface design and setting the foundation with digital branding and building a component library. Creating responsive designs for desktop and mobile. But also documentation, setting visual digital rules and working closely with developers to see them through. I was also involved in the process of user testing, research lab and iteration based on gatherings from that.
